Our Wish list
Ever so often there is something we would love to be able to provide to make our clubs extra special but we can’t due to financial constraints. By making a financial donation towards a piece of equipment on our wish list or by purchasing the item and donating it you are giving children access to experiences which are really beneficial to them which we would otherwise be unable to provide.
At the moment we would like donations towards or for the following pieces of equipment; these need not be new as long but must be safe and clean. Many of these requests come from children and parents.
Solar projector £349 excluding tax http://www.specialneedstoys.com/uk/projectors/990-solar-250-projector.html
This fantastic piece of equipment allows children to experience different visual effects without being in a dark room, this means that we can communicate ideas and give them experiences which otherwise they would not have. It has the added benefit of providing a relaxing environment within which the children can be encouraged to focus on communication skills. Any donations towards its cost are much appreciated.
Toy plastic ducks- Great for encouraging kids to explore new materials at messy play
Plastic toy boats- because we would like to sail them on an ocean of jelly, really!
Water play aprons £25 for 10.We are desperately in need of any waterproof aprons with long sleeves of all sizes for our messy play clubs. Here is a link for the sort of thing we need. http://www.essentialsforeducation.co.uk/water-play-smock-10s-p-2169.html
Buttons, any shape any size. This website has a prepacked assortment but these could just as easily be second hand. The kids love sorting them, hiding them and making them float. The different sizes and shapes make them really useful for communicating a whole range of concepts. http://www.essentialsforeducation.co.uk/assorted-colour-buttons-p-115.html
Under bed boxes We use these to put our play materials in (everything from custard to lentils) so if your having a clear out please think of us.
Builders trays £16, we use these trays in school and would love to have some for our messy play materials at the community session. They are brilliant for just about everything. http://www.toolstation.com/shop/p4311
4 raised Tubs for messy play- £250 These are really helpful in enabling children who use wheelchairs to access the messy play materials. http://www.essentialsforeducation.co.uk/essential-tubsb-set-of-4b-p-1027.html
